Because ease (the amount of roominess in a garment) is so subjective, we opted to use size numbers at All Well rather than typical size letters. The size number you choose is ultimately up to you, and it all depends on how much positive ease (or boxy roominess) you’d like in your finished Cardigan Coat! We designed the Cardigan Coat to be worn with a range of 9-15” (23 - 38 cm) positive ease at the bust/chest to achieve the easy fit and layering possibilities for this garment, so that’s what our size chart is based on. Grab a tape measure and find your bust/chest measurement to choose your size number!
The Cardigan/Coat is a super versatile pattern. It’s designed specifically to work for mid to heavy weight woven fabrics or not-super-stretchy knits in a range of different drapes and feels. Refer to the chart below for now much you’ll need.
