An ongoing personal project to make what I wear, using sewing patterns from indie pattern designers, self-drafted patterns, and mending and altering secondhand clothes or clothes I already own. ways I wear my clothes:
I try to wear a handmade garment everyday, and I document my outfits as often as I can. You can find all of my outfits on instagram under the hashtag #amywearshandmade where you can find more detailed descriptions of where each piece came from — and also here! Over the past few years I’ve completely stopped buying fast fashion clothing, so all of my wardrobe (with the exception of a few very carefully chosen new items) is well-loved and acquired either through hand-making, thrift shopping, or clothes-swapping. I love the thrill of the hunt!
